Yeah, getting set up could be tough. I forgot that it took me four months to actually get my portfolio site running. >.<

I think I understand it now. I wish I only had mandatory school until 16...I'm going to be in all AP (college creditted) classes anyway, so why do I have to stay in high school for two more years? D:

I've been thinking about it but that would take too much maintenence to set up etc and i hardly have enough free time to check and comments on createblog as it is :/

Haha! Well, I've just turned 17 so I THINK that's 1st senior year? I prefer our system, school's only mandetory for me until i was 16 but i chose to stay on to sixth form so i could study some other subjects. Now im in college which ive got to stay in for 2 years and then i go to university (:

You should make your own site. I'm not really talking a high involvement site like mine...maybe just a blog-like deal to display the little odds and ends you make.

I'll never understand the British school system. A lot of the designers I talk to are from England, and I can never gauge around what level in American school they would be...I don't know. I just get confused. D:

ahhh, i hardly ever come on here anymore. same for the submitting and comments. I dont make layouts so much anymore, i get ideas but my lack of skill and ability prevents me from actually making them how i want them to be :/

then they get rejected and im like, grrrr. ive kind of given up with it tbh, i only like hearing songs now and just making something out of them.. it makes me happy :)

ooft about school, college is kind of the same but im coping i suppose. it's strange not being in 6th form anymore (college but for 16-18 year olds but in a school teaching college level subjects) cause i failed last year (due to my lack of being bothered) so ive gone to college.

Well, for a month I was avoiding the site hoping they would demote me from staff. When they didn't, I came back and stepped down. Now I only come on to submit and check my comments.

My life has been busy. School's such a drag. I don't know what it is about this year, but I just can't get myself into the groove of things. D:

I just had the bloody text on one of my layouts criticised!
Did I make the layout for the text?! no, I made the image. Thats what matters! GUH
I hate people. they're so ungreeatful, i had 1 letter wrong and they jump at it. no good job, nice layout, thanks for putting the effort in.
This is exactly the kind of thing that puts me off making layouts. I'm seriously pissed off ¬_¬

People who aren't designers just have much lower standards than we do. If you make something animated or add a love quote to it, they'll love it. That's what I do whenever I get too lazy to come up with something creative, haha.

I'm like that sometimes though. Like my most popular layout is the lyrical grunge one and I didn't like it AT all. Yes it's got over 600 faves o_O
I wish I could be bothered to take up learning about the pen tool, it looks interesting, but, I'm FAR too lazy for anything like that.

I hate that even though it doesn't happen to me much. It's usually the other way around. I hate it but I know other people will probably like it. I think it's a bit of a sickness with me.

HAha, I totally get what you mean now. I attempted and then though "WHY WOULD I MAKE THIS LAYOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" Buh.
Haha, I'm currently in the middle of creating one :) It's one of those ones where you love how it looks but don't know if everyone else will do. And I cant be bothered coding it at all D:

I've decided to revamp some of my older layouts into new layouts because they're annoying me.

Meh, I've becom kinda disenchanted with making myspace layouts. They keep changing things that make certain codes no longer work, less people are using it, and I keep getting layouts stolen. I've decided to focus more on making resources, which I can't submit for the most part. It's actually working out pretty well for me.

I can't find any creativity at all :| Unless it's from a song or I happent o come accross something I like (My paris layout)
Butbutbut for my art coursework this year I'm planning on doing a big framey thing of the sky and it's changes so I might turn that into a layout, I hope anyway.
I'm going away next week so I'm hoping something there will inspire me to do something :/

Sooo...you're trying to get to 100 layouts? For me, the point your at was the hardest part. At the beginning I was able to crank out three a week because I had so many ideas. By the time I hit 75 I didn't know what to do. D:

I like my accent though, it's posh but not :3

Haha, well I love the English. It's one of my life goals to go to England just so I could be surrounded by people with that accent.
